Electrical Engineer, Intern

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to support our engineering and manufacturing teams in developing and maintaining advanced electrical systems and automation processes.. Below is a detailed job description for this position:

  • Assist in the design and testing of control systems for CNC machines and automated equipment

  • Support integration of sensors, actuators, and PLCs in manufacturing environments

  • Work with electrical schematics and perform wiring/layout for control panels

  • Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical systems used in precision tooling and machines

  • Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing engineers on process improvements

  • Document procedures, designs, and test results according to industry standards

  • Contribute to the maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment used in production

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field

  • Understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and instrumentation

  • Exposure to PLC programming or ladder logic (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) is a plus

  • Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical)

  • Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Skills:

  • Experience with embedded systems or microcontrollers

  • Familiarity with robotics or motion control systems

  • Basic programming knowledge (Python, C/C++)

  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards (e.g., IPC, ISO 9001)
